The F.A. x PayPal

PayPal partnered with the Football Association to create MatchDay, an app designed to support grass roots football with quick, easy payments. We were called in to tell an authentic, meaningful story that would show how PayPal’s values and products fit with the values and solutions that local clubs are looking for.

Solution

We approached this brief from three tiers:

  1. Show PayPal’s understanding and excitement of grass-roots football with a 60” hero film that shines a light on the spirit of the sport.
  2. Three follow-up videos of 45”, increasing the brand’s credibility within this topic by including influential talent and even England national team players.
  3. We ended this campaign with two consumer films that were more direct about key elements of PayPal’s services, but following the same style from through to resonate with the target audience.
